Gina Miller

A business woman called Gina Miller is lobbying to stop Brexit.

She puts spin on what she is saying but we all know what she is trying to do. She has received death threats. I say leave her alone and focus on boycotting her business so she has less money to lobby the government and interfere with democracy.

Fight lobbying with boycotting.

The question is how? We will see.

Making Brexit Work

The British public has voted to leave the EU. This means that we will no longer be a part of the European union within 2 years. Many fear that the separation from the EU will cause a recession.

I think we will be ok. as long as we make the right decisions in the process.

It may seem a bad idea to also leave the free access to the common market but I disagree because we can charge an import tax as well as the EU. We import more than we export so we will make more money than we loose. Companies will avoid the importation duty tax by building sister factories inside the UK and that will create more Jobs.

When we get trade deals with other countries such as China, we can ensure the deal is selective so we only remove the tariff for products we don't produce or need on the cheap such as Olives, Rice, Avocadoes and Medical commodities such as Oxygen Masks, Bandages, and Drips. So  our companies don't face excess competition. In return, we can sell our processed food and services back to them. If we were inside the EU we could never get such a deal and would have to settle for the best-fit trade deals for the whole Union.

The money we pay into the EU will be ours to spend on projects that we need,

making a wall work

If you are going to build a large wall that spans across a large distance then  you should make the wall profitable.

I would cover the top half of the wall in solar panels and place small holes in the wall to channel wind into turbines, such a project would harvest free energy.

Perhaps it could be named the great wall of America and be used for tourism. Perhaps projectors could project TV and image advertisements on the wall.

Or the wall could back up into flats so the back wall of a flat is the border wall. Perhaps many buildings could be built against the wall so one side of the wall doubles as part of a factory or warehouse to save on building materials

The wall itself could be hollow and act as a giant linear city creating jobs for millions of people.

A railway line and road could be placed on the top of the wall to move goods from the Pacific ocean to the Atlantic. like a type of panama canal.

New Nintendo Console

Nintendo has recently announced that it will release a new games console in march 2017 called the "Nintendo Switch".

This new console will resemble a 6 inch tablet with controllers on each side. It will sit in a dock that connects the device to your screen so will be both a hand held and TV games console. The hardware inside the device is not fully known but it is believed to have powerful graphics card chips from Gforce and nvidia. The Games will come on flash cartridges  that work in a similar way to the 3DS, In my opinion, solid state cartridges are more robust than optical disks. I have had issues with optical disk games a number of times in the past.

I think the system will just about break even at first but will grow in popularity as time passes because it is designed to be reconfigurable so different peripherals and controllers can easily be added to it and could transform the device's playing experience

I believe it is a gaming system that is intended to appeal to the party gamer and the serious hardcore gamer simultaneously, they are making the best of both for multiplayer, portability and hardcore. I am sure there will be a number of addictive multiplayer games on this system and there will also be mainstream 3D platform games that are normally only released on Xbox, PlayStation and PC

so...

get your money tins ready and start putting cash away for the Nintendo Switch.

David Cameron

David Cameron has opted to leave the back benches and exit politics all together. He was the previous Leader of the UK (Prime Minister).

His Goals were clear from Day one, to bring austerity to the UK and make business in the UK grow. His leadership was a coalition so I sense that he could not do all the things he wanted to do. I can't help but wander what would happen if he had the helm to himself.

The thing he will be famous for is bringing forth the EU referendum that allowed the UK community vote out of the political union despite supporting the Union himself.  He was also famous for trying to cut the deficit. It is impossible to say if he was a good or bad leader because that question could only be answered if an alternate reality existed where he never came to power. One thing is certain, he worked very hard and was committed to our growth.

One thing I believe is that he was a better leader than Tony Blair and Gordon Brown because he focused on creating more jobs and less costs to public spending. My hopes are that the present leader Theresa May will raise the bar and lead the UK to prosperity.

Powering the Earth

The best way to power the Earth is to have an array of solar panels that are linked together by power lines. The power lines could cross the twilight daylight boundary and deliver power to places that are in the night time zone.

If China and Russia are in darkness then America could send their excess solar power to them. If America is in darkness then Europe to send power across Russia to supply the Americans. Sunlight is always touching one part of the Earth's Surface so power lines could redistribute the power to the dark side of the planet.

If we cooperated in the beginning then this would already be a reality.

5 Goals for mankind

Here are 5 goals that should unite all people in the world.

1) Cure cancer
2) End fossil fuel dependence
3) End poverty
4) Cure Aids
5) Build star ships

Bike road

We can build bike roads cheaply. Putting paint on one part of a foot path should be enough to be a good bike road. The paint does not need to take up the whole foot path, it only needs to take up part of it.

Later, worn out car tyres can be shredded and made into rubber slabs that can form the bike road. The rubber slabs would allow the bike to have a smooth ride and help define the road.

Brexit Complainers

If you don't have a crystal ball and you can't see into the future then why on Earth are you writing off the UK because we are ending out EU membership? Tell me. Why do you think the UK is going to have huge losses? Does that not make you a negative fool? It is like saying there will be world war 3 soon. It is possible but you don't know unless you can actually see into the future.

The financial experts say the UK will have  losses but it was financial experts that said the Greeks should get rid of the Drachma and  take the Euro. It was financial experts running the big banks like northern rock when they became bankrupt.

I hope that when they trigger article 50 these silly fools will move to the EU.

Cancelled coup in turkey

On the 15th of July there was an attempted coup of the Turkish parliament. The civilians and police stepped in and stopped the coup.

This is a good outcome because any leader that is unpopular should be voted out democratically. It is very unlikely that the replacement would be any better and would most likely be a dictator that takes away people's rights. I show respect for all the brave civilians that stood up to the military personnel and prevented a full blown civil war.

Football hooliganism, my solution

Football hooliganism is violence associated with football fans.

I believe that football hooliganism starts with music. The fans sing their team's song and the rival team also sings their team's song and the rivalry causes violent outbursts. Music changes peoples state of mind and football chanting causes aggressive thoughts.

What I would do is mount powerful speakers on the street and fill the street with chill out music and soul. Not like when Michael Jackson breaks into dance and the zombies copy but just calm happy music.

Hear are a 10 songs I think would stop hooligan onslaught.

1) Peaches and Herb, re united
2) Mat Frink, meditation music
3) Steve wonder,  tomorrow robins will sing
4) Randy Crawford, what a difference a day makes
5) Randy Crawford, purple rain
6) Prince, Purple rain
7) Johnny Bristol, Hang on in there baby
8) Queen, Friends will be friends
9) Kenny G, (Saxophone) Loving you
10) Atlantic star, Always

Flop Gear, my fix

Last night I watched top gear for the first time since Jeremy had some catering issues.

It was not as good as the normal show because there was chemistry between the 3 men that gave the show a lot of character.

I feel I could fix the problem. What I would do is add Chandler from friends or  Brian Blessed. The 3 men would fool around and give the show a lot of character.

My personal favourite is Brian Blessed because he has a powerful voice and a larger than life character.

I don't want Chris Evans or Mat Le Blank to be removed from the show. Just add Brian Blessed to the team. Even if he is not interested in cars he would save the show with his powerful personality.

Also I would have floating stats on the screen like they do at football matches. Showing information about the cars.  A bit like the dialogue panels on the QVC shopping channel, sitting on the edges of the screen.

I hope the BBC knows that the paying customer is always right!!

My Will

Today I am grateful for life. A lot of people that I know of have died this spring including my Granny, David Guest, Paul Daniels, Victoria wood, David Bowie and Prince. This has inspired me to  write my will.

This is my will...

When I die I want the funeral director to be dressed as a Gorilla and have all attendants to be dressed in movie themed outfits like bat man or superman. Each one differently dressed.

I want these two songs to be played..

1) who wants to live forever by Queen
And
2) I'm glad there is you by Randy Crawford.

I want all my possessions to be sold and placed together with any money I have and placed into a trust. One quarter of the trust will go to my family, One quarter will go to a cancer research charity. One quarter will pay for the funeral and go towards a party for all the people that attended my funeral and one quarter to space science and research.

I don't want preservative to be pumped into my body but for my body to be frozen until my funeral day.
I want my body to be placed into in a Hessian sack and buried in an unmarked grave in a public place like a country park and a tree to be planted just above my body. If it is winter then I want the tree to be planted in the following spring.

The tree is to be a fruit tree with it's natural roots or a redwood tree or an ash tree. If possible I would like my body to be  buried in Devon in a public place under an olive tree but don't mind where it is or what the tree is.

I want this message to be read out at my funeral.

"Life is a journey and a gift" when you die your journey continues somewhere else   so find strength and by happy.  I Alan Booth am thankful for the life I had.

News

The news is strange in the UK, we are on the verge of curing paralysis using stem cell therapy and it is hardly ever mentioned.

There was a terrorist attack in Nigeria the other day but it was hardly mentioned.

Skin colour, my spin

In people, skin colour is controlled by a pigment called Melanin. It is made from an amino acid that is oxidised.

The pigment that makes people dark is chemically the same as the pigment that makes blackberries dark and it is the same as the ink that octopuses squirt when they flee predators.

Every human has this pigment in their bodies except for albino people. Even white people have small amounts of the pigment that make their skin.

Did you know that white people's skin is not white, it's transparent and slightly beige? The white colour you see in white people is actually the fats that are under the skin.

Having a different pigment concentration in your skin does not make you more or less important than anyone else so there should be no reason why people are treated differently than others because of their colour.

Oriental city

The Oriental city mall in Colindale is gone. In it's place stands a Morrison's. There is still construction work taking place on the site and there are rumours of a new oriental city that will be on part of the property perhaps a smaller version of the original and there are also rumours of flats being built on the site also.

The car park is very modern looking and contains many charging points for electric cars. The shop above just looks like an ordinary shop.

New Radio Station

Yesterday a brand new talk radio station started broadcasting in the UK for the first time called talkRadio. I believe this new station is owned by the same company as talkSport.

I listened to the new station on my phone while I was waiting for my car safety test and servicing to finish. It is very good because it is a talk & debating station just like LBC.

If you are listening to radio with DAB then you need to retune your radio because it won't appear on the station list.

It is good timing because the station has opened at the start of the financial year and  before Easter.

One thing that I find amusing is that Julia Heartly Brewer is on talkRadio at the same time as James O Brian is on LBC, they are now competing for your time. They were on separate time slots on LBC in the past.

What is M.O. T

Today my car is having an M.O.T  (ministry of transport) test. A UK car test.

This is a safety test to ensure that my car is unlikely to cause harm outside of human error.

They test the Brakes, Tyres, Suspension, lights and chassis (for rust) to ensure that it can stop quickly without loosing control.

The passenger safety is also checked, windscreen wipers, seat belts, air conditioning (leaking co2 causes fainting) and windscreens.

Recently an emissions test was also added to check the car emits the same levels of co2 and co that it did when it was made.

There are several other tests that I'm not aware of. Things like number plate light check and various other legal checks.

Paul Daniels

A few days ago on march 17th, St Patrick's Day, Paul Daniels died. He Left behind 3 sons and a widow.

He had a very interesting history. He started life in business learning accounting and had a grocery store. Then he went into magic.

He was a very outspoken man and always had something to say about the news.

Good thing is he died in a happy state of mind because the brain tumour that was killing him was also clouding his mind.

Well all I can say is I hope that his family can pick themselves up and live a good life.

Conventional oven

There are two types of conventional oven. Fan assisted and non fan assisted.

In a fan assisted oven the air at the top shelf is the same temperature as the bottom because the air is circulated.

You can put a pizza in the top or the bottom shelf and it will be the same.

Non fan assisted ovens are slightly more power efficient when you are only using the top shelf because they don't power a fan and the heat is focused on the top shelf so the food cooks more quickly. There is also less openings for the heat to escape out of.

For cooking on more than one shelf it is better to use a fan assisted oven because the heat is redistributed evenly.

On some fan assisted ovens you can turn the fan off.

Donald trump policies

Presidential candidate Donald trump  has some very controversial policies. He wants to ban all Muslims from entering America, I don't see how he will enforce it because people can lie about their faith. I can say I'm Jewish when I'm not or I can say I'm atheist and be a Muslim. I don't see what is wrong with Islamic people anyway, almost all people that call themselves Muslim are harmless law abiding people.

Why build a wall across Mexico and not Canada? Why is he writing off a whole country? Somehow I think he would be doing mexico a favour by building a wall because he will keep the American criminals inside the US and force the drugs gangs to leave the border towns alone. Mexicans don't take drugs like they do in the US so the gangs would loose money and the other countries nearby would pick up the drugs trade. And all the subsidised cheap GM corn would stay in the US and stop undercutting Mexican farmers. Perhaps Mexico will get rich without America.

US election outcome

In my opinion the two candidates that will stand to replace Barack Obama in the US general Election are Hillary Clinton and Donald trump.

Hillary Clinton is a Democrat and Trump is Republican. They are dominating the primary elections and it appears clear to me.

There may be internal conflict for Lady voters that are loyal to the Republican party. They may think the republican  party gets better results but want to see Hilary lead because she is an experienced politician and a lady, she would probably want to finally close the door on gender equality. American women still earn less then men and Hillary is very likely to bring  legislation that promotes fair pay to both genders. And she wants to make  it easier to be a parent I believe.

Trump is a very successful business man and probably has a sound plan for breaking up the huge dept owed by the American government without causing much chaos although he has some very extreme views that I think are crazy.

Hillary Clinton is also likely to have a very good plan for American dept control and economic growth because she has been in the business for a long time and knows what works and what doesn't.

All I know for sure is that things will heat up in the months just before November and it will be a very close call.

Car ha ha

Two days ago the rubber trim on my windscreen wiper blade split so now my driver's side wiper does not wipe properly when it rains, that is sure to fail the M.O.T test that my car is due to take within the next few weeks.

I hope that in the future cars will be much easier to maintain.

Perhaps electric cars in the future will have very small engines that can be changed as easily as a lightbulb is changed in a house. They won't need engine coolant or Oil or any other fluid and the parts slide and screw together and are easy to replace.

I wonder if cars in the future will be recognisable from the way they are now. Perhaps cars of the future will drive themselves and talk to you like they do in the TV show knight Rider. Maybe they will be fitted with couch like seats and have TV screens that play films while then car drives itself.

Moon base

If you want to make a moon base then there is one feature of the moon that may make it easier to do.

The moon has larva tubes just under the surface that formed when then moon had a lot of heat when it first formed. They are very big and air tight. It is possible to build a base inside these tubes. This would protect the settlers from deep space radiation and energised particles and have a stable temperature.

Perhaps these larva tubes already have air inside them like CO2.

It does not make sense to fight against nature when you can use something nature has already provided.

VR

Virtual reality is about to become a mainstream technology that many people use.

There are several uses for virtual reality in this world. You could see what a place is like at ground level without actually being there. You could have a virtual reality game that you play and you actually go there, so when you go on a quest you are actually going on a quest.

You can meet family members in person and share time with them. You can also use vr for education to help teach children about the world.

Vr could also be a form of exercise where you could walk on a treadmill like machine and walk in a virtual world. A person could walk 5km a day without leaving their room. Perhaps the place you walk through could be a serene place like a sea front.

Perhaps there could be VR movies were you are surrounded by the set. You move your head around  and look at things that are happening behind you.

Well there are many uses for virtual reality and it is here to stay. Lets see what happens.

New car shows emerging

Two car shows are about to start soon. The new top gear and the Amazon car show with the original top gear crew.

I would like to see what happens and what they are like. I think mat la blank is a good choice of presenter for the new top gear show because he has a lot of character and he was big in the 90s. I would like to see the chemistry between him and Chris Evans.

Making a murderer

On Netflix there is a documentary series called making a murderer. It is about a man called Steven Avery that was wrongfully convicted of Rape and spent years in prison then found innocent.
He was then charged with murder when he tried to sue the authorities. It is not clear whether or not he killed her.

I am a big fan of true life mysteries and this show is tops for me.

Netflix should make more documentaries like this one because many people love true life mysteries.

Sika virus

The sika virus is known to cause brain damage to unborn children.

However if you kill off the mosquito's that transmit the disease then you will irradiate the disease even though it can be transmitted sexually.

Other diseases would also disappear if the mosquito was irradiated such as malaria and sleeping sickness.

Planet x

Today I learned of a discovery of a 9th planet in our solar system. The planet is said to be a gas giant that is a similar size to Neptune.

It is nice to have 9 planets again after Pluto was demoted to dwarf planet a few years back.  This 9th planet is so far away that it is very hard to see directly but we know it is there because its gravity is affecting other objects. I wonder if this planet has moons going around it. Perhaps it has a moon that is the same size as earth.

I remember reading an article stating that there could even be a second star in our solar system, a distant brown dwarf could be orbiting our star but it is so dim that it would be hard to find.

I wonder if there are many planets yet to to discover in our solar system because the sun's gravity can influence objects that are half way to the next star over 2 and a half light years away. Perhaps there and many planets in our solar system, who knows? There is so much to discover out there!

Youtube and play video merge

I recently discovered that videos that you buy on play store can be viewed on your you tube player (if you are logged in) This is good because YouTube is everywhere. I noticed that some smart boxes won't play your purchased video. I think it is something to do with the box not informing youtube of its location, this seems to be a bug. It is nice to chromecast your purchased play store vid collection on everything.

The Chromecast on YouTube is different to the Chromecast of other apps because it works with non Chromecast devices such as smart tv boxes and games consols.

Street lights, my way

If I designed street lights I would design them so the pole itself emits light and changes colour through the night.

When the sun goes down the lights would be blue in colour. Then around midnight then lights would turn orange. Then gradually between midnight and 02:30 they would turn yellow then from 02:30 till sunrise they would turn more and more red until they turned off.

Wouldn't that be nice.

Traffic light progress

Traffic lights in my area often treat all roads entering a junction the same. Some roads are busier than others but they get the same amount of time.

Wouldn't it be nice if traffic lights stayed green longer for more busy roads. Or perhaps they could have pressure sensors on the road that detect how many cars are queueing and adjust the amount of time they spend red and green to fit the conditions automatically. That would be very nice.

I wonder how much co2 that would save and if it would improve the traffic.

David Bowie death

David Bowie died from cancer. Every person's body makes cancer cells. But somehow cancer sufferers have cancer cells that can evade the immune cells. I wonder if it is possible to kill cancer cells in the future without damaging healthy tissues. Perhaps micro machines that can detect them and kill them and leave the healthy ones unharmed.

I hope that while I drive I will learn Spanish.

North Korea Nuke test

Recently North Korea tested it's new class of weapons the Hydrogen bomb. Hydrogen bombs work by pushing 4 Hydrogen atoms together to make 1 Helium atom and vast amounts of heat energy, this process is repeated billions of times until the heat energy is so great that it makes the air around it violently explode.

The good thing about the h bomb is that it has no radio active waste so the only victims are those that are hit by the blast of the bomb. It could also be scaled down perhaps even to the grenade level. The bomb is only dangerous to people if it is used on people. If you made the explosion small enough then you could harness the energy and make a new class of nuclear power station.

There is tension right now between north Korea and the west and south Korea right now but it is very possible that in the future there could be a friendship between them just like there is a friendship between Russia and the West today. Perhaps we could be involved in multi national projects in the near future and perform marvels of engineering with them and us. We are already connected to them by then same planet, somehow I feel it could end very well between us if we put our mind to it.

I guess the key is for all the realms in this world to be patient and hesitate hostile responses. Standing back and thinking could literally save lives and bring forth good deeds for all.

How to kill people

Earlier this week there was mass executions in Saudi Arabia. I think it is wrong to execute people but at least I can hope they kill them in a kind way.

If I chose how they died I would opt to put them in a comfy room and fill the room with nitrogen gas. This would displace the oxygen in the air and cause the people to slowly die of brain damage with no suffering at all.
