Alanasis of 'The Thing' film Notes

I'm making a short documentary video of the 1985 version of the movie called the thing. They deliberately created plot opacity in the movie to create mystery. This is how I think the complete story would be with all the missing plots.

Scene A.  Aliens discover life on earth and on Jupiter's moon Europa in the subsurface ocean. They collect samples from Earth and Europa. They are baffled by the life form from Europa because they are all the same species and they don't eat anything. They have cold fusion proteins in their cells so they get their energy from fusing hydrogen into helium. Yet they have eyes and organs that are unessary, they call it "Sinter pog sloor" in the alien's language that means Over developed hydrogen fuser" They think it is harmless and pick it up. The creature stings the alien's hand and infects him with it's cells.

Scene B.  The alien that was infected by the 'Sinter' sting starts to go insane and infects the other specimens, a Crab, Snake and Monkey from Earth.

Scene C. The infected alien's body is being taken over by the organisms cells, his Brain reacts by going paranoid, he accuses the other aliens of poisoning him when he is in cryogenic sleep and shoots the other aliens dead. He damages the ship's computer and it goes into safe mode, the ship lands in the last safe landing site it visited, on an ice sheet in Antarctica, it sends a distress signal.

Scene D. The crazy alien becomes fully assimilated by the 'Sinter' organism and the other specimens merge with him and it jumps out and burries himself in the ice. The alien's body can freeze and thaw without causing death. They morph into a hybrid creature a kind of crab monkey snake humanoid. It starts digging because the organism remembers there is an Ocean below the ice on Europa but in this place there isn't one, just bed rock. Eventually the creature gets frozen.

Scene E. The stranded alien ship is rediscovered by humans 100,000 years later and the 'Sinter' creature cut out from the ice.

Scene F. When the 'Sinter' thaws it attacks the scientists and assimilates some of them. But they gain the upper hand and start burning the creature with flame throwers and grenades.

Scene G.  The last 'Sinter' Carnation, a dog imitation flees the base and heads for an American base nearby.
Scene H. The dog is welcomed into the American base. It assimilates Norris while he is sleeping then is put into the kennal. The Dog 'Sinter' them morphs into a crab and snake hybrid creature and starts assimilating the other Dogs in the kennal.

Scene I.  They discover the Crab and snake hybrid creature and shoot it. It then morphs into a Monkey crab snake and tries to climb out of the kennal. They burn it with a flame thrower.

Scene J.  Dr Blair, the biologist performs a biopsy on the 'Sinter'. He is stung by reminant living tissue without noticing and receives an infection in his arm. Fukes is also infected during the autopsy.

Scene k. Dr Blair's brain starts to get assimilated and he becomes very paranoid. He is half human and half 'Sinter' The symptoms of being taken over as an infection is extreme paranoia. Bennings is assimilated by the burnt remains and flees but they burn his imitation. Then Blair attacks the other scientists and kills all the dogs that are still alive.

Scene L. They want to do a blood test but the Norris 'Sinter' sends a tentical through the keyhole of the blood safe and destroys the samples. Paranoia breaks out. While Palmer is stoned on weed and listening to music Norris assimilates him is one go.

Scene M. They lock Dr Blair in the supply shed and all become aware that at least one of the crew isn't human. Fukes realises his body is being taken over and burns himself to death with kerosine.

Scene N and O The Palmer 'Sinter' plants evidence in Mcreadys room, torn clothes and underwear. It then starts accusing other crew of not being human, someone finds the planted evidence and becomes convinced he isn't human. Norris has a heart attack and a crazy monkey snake human hydrid creature jumps out of his torso. They burn it but the head rolls off and turns into a  crab and tries to run away but they see it and burn it. Then they do a hot needle test and expose Palmer as the creature. He tries to grow a biological fire mask and he turns into a strong Monkey Snake. His head turns into a snakes mouth and grabs Dr Windows. They burn them

Scene P. The realize Blair is now not human and has escaped the shed.

Scene Q and R. The Blair 'Sinter' kills two more crews and uses their combined biomass to morph into a giant super snake that lays bogs. It is blown up but one of the dogs escapes.

Scene s.  Mcready and Knowles slowly freeze to death as humans unaware that the creature as sporned one more dog imitation.

The end.

ITV GMB Tuesday 2nd of June 2020

I thought I should make a point about the the main topic of the show, the crouching cop murder & related riots.

A cop crouched on an unarmed man's neck and caused his death. It turns out that George Floyd was blameless because the cheque he was using wasn't forged. If the topic continues I would like the presenters to point that out if they can. I think that Piers made a good point about phones exposing a small sample of what is happening yet there is more that isn't seen. I was inspired to do some research on body cams because they can record persistently and many of them are less than £30.
If people wear body cams all the time then racist and violent police officers can be caught before they kill someone.

I don't always agree with Piers Morgan but I am a fan. Today I didn't get a chance to watch the whole show but I agree that the government needs to explain why there are so many people dying from Covid19.

What I would say to Piers and Sussana is to keep your chin up and keep digging for the truth.

I would also love for you both to just say some random facts and stuff like that to cheer us up a bit in this time of challenge and anxiety.

Good morning Britain 14th May

It is quite embarrassing to see that Britain has the second highest covid19 death rate in the world although I think that many countries lie about their deaths so it may be a case that we are just the most honest country. Perhaps a man with a heart condition may die with the virus and the cause of death would be heart attack in some countries.

The conclusion I would get from the Pandemic is that the virus is more robust than flu viruses. It persists for longer in the open air and has a longer incubation rate so testing is the key.

The place that should have been protected the most is the care homes and they weren't. They were the most vulnerable people from  the virus.

BBC PMQ 26th June 2019

I wasn't impressed with Jeremy Corbin's contributions. Saudi Arabia is an independent country and stopping the sales of weapons to them would not stop the conflict, they can get weapons from anywhere in the world and if they can't then it would be worse because they would make their own weapons and they would be less accurate.

If we take heed to what he says then the conflict will continue and there will be less income to the UK.

Well, much of the show was about Boris, shocking.

Police were called to Boris Johnson's home but no crime was committed. That is all we need to know. I don't want to know what Boris and his Girlfriend were arguing about. I don't care. It is just a waste of interview airtime if you ask me.

They could be asking him what he will be doing about the housing crisis or how he will protect jobs when AI automation sets in. What plan does Boris have for a no deal brexit? We are kept in the dark because of journalist obsessed with the domestic event at his home. The public don't care what he was arguing about.

BBC QT 20th June 2019

The main issues that were covered were Boris Johnson, Brexit and Knife crimes.

I think that most of the good contributions to the show came from Tim Martin, the guy that owns the Weatherspoons pub chain. He pointed out some of the big issues with the EU and how making a clean break wouldn't be so bad.

My contribution to the discussion would be that I am clear on what causes most of the knife crimes. Young men are enticed into joining gangs because they see their parents working extremely hard and struggling to pay all the bills and they don't want that lifestyle. The gangster lifestyle offers to grant their dreams, nice cars fast money and financial freedom. They know that selling drugs brings big short term rewards. The gangster lifestyle comes with risks of death and prison but it is a risk that many young people are prepared to take. I think that parents should put their money together and pay for a bus service that takes their children straight home from school. The children need to be kept away from gangs.
